How to get a DOCX

In Microsoft Word, save a copy as .docx. For older .doc files, convert to DOCX first. In Google Docs, use File → Download → Microsoft Word (.docx). Upload the saved file here.

The PDF reflows your Google Docs or Word document; original page breaks, headers and exact formatting are not preserved. Connect Google to include resolved threads that Google still returns for this document in the comment list.

Print a Google Doc or Word document with comments

Print a Google Doc with comments, or save a Microsoft Word document with its feedback as a PDF. ExportMyDocs.com places comments beside the passages they refer to, with numbered markers connecting text and discussion. Authors and dates remain available, and replies stay with their thread. This makes the result useful for an editorial review, project handover or an offline record of feedback.

Import a Google Docs link or upload a DOCX saved in Microsoft Word. For Google Docs, a downloaded Word (.docx) copy also works. Google Docs suggestions and Word tracked changes use the revision data available in the DOCX. Once the document appears, choose comments beside passages, below passages, at the bottom of the page or as a separate list. Use Print / Save PDF to open your browser's print dialog. A4 portrait is the recommended starting point.

Example PDF with comments

A paragraph can show an underlined insertion and a struck-through deletion, while a margin card records the author and proposed replacement. Another card can hold a comment with replies. Choose Show changes, Accepted text or Original text to decide which version the reader sees. Author and date filters let you focus a review on one person or a period. Black & white keeps underline and strike-through marks.

Layout and source limitations

The review copy rebuilds the document rather than preserving the original pages. Headers, footers, page breaks and complex formatting may differ. A comment anchor already shifted inside the source DOCX cannot always be repaired. Connected import can reconcile an anchor when Google returns a quoted passage that has one unambiguous match. Otherwise the original range is retained and a file warning explains the limitation.

Questions & answers

Will resolved comments appear?

Connected import can include resolved threads that Google still returns for this document in the comment list. Local uploads are limited to what the DOCX contains.

Can I print without author colors?

Yes. Enable Black & white in Filters & appearance. You can also hide authors or dates and adjust comment text size before printing.

Does the export change my source document?

No. Display modes and filters affect the exported review copy. They do not accept changes, delete comments or edit your source in Google Docs or Microsoft Word.

Can I also download comments as a spreadsheet?

Use Comments to Excel for XLSX or CSV, or Export all for a PDF and a ZIP of the other selected content. This page prints or saves a PDF with comments.
