How to get a DOCX

In Microsoft Word, save a copy as .docx. For older .doc files, convert to DOCX first. In Google Docs, use File → Download → Microsoft Word (.docx). Upload the saved file here.

The PDF reflows your Google Docs or Word document; original page breaks, headers and exact formatting are not preserved. Connect Google to include resolved threads that Google still returns for this document in the comment list.

Keep a document handover together

A project handover often needs the discussion and supporting assets as well as the final wording. This archive workflow collects supported content from a Google Doc or Word DOCX into a single downloadable ZIP. Use it when passing a draft to another editor, saving a review milestone or gathering the material a colleague will need to continue a project.

Import the document, inspect the inventory and select the content to keep. A PDF with comments provides a readable view of comments and suggested changes. Spreadsheet and text exports make the same material easier to search, filter or reuse in another tool. Keep your original DOCX separately so that you can return to the original document data; it is not included in the browser export.

Example handover package

A research draft may yield a PDF with comments, a comment workbook, a change list, tables.xlsx, links.csv, headings.csv, clean Markdown and HTML, and an images folder with a context list. The archive includes manifest.json to describe what was exported and which filters were used. The contents depend on your document and selections; absent sections do not create empty exports.

What an archive does not recover

This is a snapshot of available document content, not a backup of the complete Google Drive account. It does not include revision history, previous versions, sharing permissions or comments that Google no longer returns. Document layout is rebuilt in the PDF. Store the ZIP somewhere appropriate for your project, since ExportMyDocs.com does not provide a hosted archive you can retrieve later.

How does this differ from Export all?

It uses the same export engine and formats, presented for archiving and handover. Choose the rows that match the record you need to preserve.

Can I include every comment?

Only available comments can be exported. Connect Google for resolved threads that Google still returns for this document; local uploads depend on the comment data in the DOCX.

Which formats does each selection add?

A checked row includes all of its listed formats. For example, Comments adds CSV, Markdown, JSON and XLSX. Individual format chips provide separate downloads.

Does the PDF preserve searchable text?

In browser mode, the separate PDF download contains rendered page images. Keep the exported HTML or Markdown for text reuse, or use Print / Save PDF for native browser printing. The uploaded source DOCX is not bundled.
